Area 7: Allison Cowart

Hello, my name is Allison Cowart. I was born in Juneau, Alaska, where it rains even more then it does in Seattle and is, I think, one of the most beautiful places in the world. After graduating high school, I attended Whitworth University and the Intercollegiate College of Nursing (ICN) and met my husband, a Spokane native. We moved to Gig Harbor, WA for a couple of years, where I worked in a hospital doing medical surgical nursing. After my husband finished his second tour in Iraq, we moved back over to Spokane, where I worked briefly in home health. I began my career as a school nurse just two years ago and I have loved working with children and their families in a community setting. I currently work for Mead School District and am responsible for a high school, elementary school, and a preschool.
